There are two nearby airports: Punta del Este (PDP), about 1 hour away, and Montevideo (MVD), about 1 hour 40 minutes away. While PDP is closer, it has limited flight options and is best if you’re traveling from Brazil or Argentina.
From the U.S., Copa (via Panama) offers the best connectivity, with Avianca (via Bogotá) as another option from the East Coast. There is also a seasonal American Airlines flight that may operate in late November.
From Europe, there are two daily direct flights from Madrid.
If you’re planning a short trip before or after the wedding, consider flying into São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, or Buenos Aires.
José Ignacio is walkable, but renting a car is recommended since there’s no Uber and public transportation is limited. Shuttle buses will be provided for wedding events.
Once we receive flight details, we’ll coordinate shared vans from MVD to hotels in José Ignacio for peak arrival times. Private transfers can also be arranged directly with BYB Remises.
